As early as Thursday, January 8, we go on with the long-prepared Winterfest Tour 2009! There have appeared some doubts about the tour coming into effect on the Net, as a result of the concert in Stuttgart (Jan. 14) being called off. Winterfest 2009 is not cancelled. We're going to play all gigs that have been planned and all the bands are going to give their performances with Glen Benton and DEICIDE as a headliner!!!

"The months of hard work on preparing the tour were screwed up by the promoter from Stuttgart - Georg Weihrauch (LKA-Longhorn Club). It's arrogance, a lack of respect and any rules of professional cooperation! It's not the way you treat people, Mr. Weihrauch! This business is made of risk and if you want to hold concerts you need to be ready to take that risk! Everyone would like to make money on gigs but sometimes it's not like that. Sometimes one needs to behave as a professional promoter who unfortunately you seem not to be. The more I am surprised with the call-off, as you took my offer months ago, you cancelled the gig at the last moment leaving us in a hard situation and you ignored my suggestion that we took the risk by half. I've been working in the business for 20 years and it happened for the first time! You, as the owner of a large club in huge city, decided to close the door and hang out a notice - called off! We warn all the concert agencies against this place. You'd better always take advance money, a big one, so that Mr. Georg Weihrauch never takes anybody in again. Only 10 days left! "Winterfest 2009" featuring DEICIDE, SAMAEL, VADER, DEVIAN, ORDER OF ENNEAD and THE AMENTA starts on January 8 in Tilburg. That's gonna be the first big European tour in 2009. DEICIDE will appear on it to promote their latest album "Till Death Do Us Part" (Earache Records 2008). Americans will com to Europe in their strongest line up, featuring Glen Benton. Actually, band's mainman can't wait to play in Europe: "Hello Europe, I will see you the fans next week on the upcoming Europe run, I'm very excited to be coming there to perform for you again, so get ready...GLEN BENTON is coming to town..." /Glen Benton.

The next band appearing on the tour- Swiss SAMAEL has been preparing material for the next studio album. Their setlist prepared for this tour will feature some classic songs and perhaps- some new tracks, who knows? Vorph commented on upcoming tour: "2009 definitely start as a good year! Our new album "Above" will be released on the 6th of March and we're all excited about the upcoming Winterfest tour. This time, we will visit some places we haven't been before or haven't been for a long time, and as a way to celebrate our 20 years existence we prepared a special set list which includes lot of old songs, some we haven't play for ages. VADER are still celebrating band's 25-th anniversary. On "Winterfest 2009" the band will present a shorter set than usual, but this will be the first opportunity to see VADER in Europe in their new line up, featuring Peter (guitars, vocals) and Vogg (guitars) known z DECAPITATED, Reyash (bass) from SUPREME LORD & INCANTATION, Paul (drums). "This line up is like a dream indeed !!! I still hear the first DEICIDE album in my mind and remember how much important was for me, VADER and the Extreme Metal in Poland. European part of "Hammer Battalion Tour 2009" successfully came to the end. After nearly four weeks all the bands arrived in Warsaw to play the last show of the tour. It was a very special day. Polish fan-club of UNLEASHED prepared original scarfes (with band's logo and fan-club name) designed specifically and exclusively for that occasion. Earlier, German fans solemnly gave them special hand-made Viking's shields, constructed exclusively for the occassion of the tour. The tour itself turned out very good, despite pretty strong competition (MORBID ANGEL, SATYRICON, CRADLE OF FILTH, ENSLAVED) every show gathered an average of 250 fans. We had a good turnout (400) particulary in Germany, gigs in Jena, Essen, Darmstadt, Hanover and Berlin were beyond our expectations. Ferocious battles of Spain, Switzerland and Austria are definitely worth a mention here. UNLEASHED once again proven themselves to be a leading force of European death metal. The band met with an absolutely great response! Swedish Vikings performed a perfect blend of their old and new hits - with an encore every night! The other bands appeared on the tour, namely KRISIUN, ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET and supporting acts: COMMANDER and SHADE EMPIRE also did their best and played fantastic shows each day! "Solar Soul Balkans Tour 2009" schedule has been finally confirmed. It's consisted of 14 shows in Eastern Europe. In most places SAMAEL (www.myspace.com/samael) will appear for the first time in their long-time history! On this occasion Swiss metallers are preparing a special live set and visuals. The tour starts on January 24 in Łódź (Poland), the day after we play another warm-up show in Kraków (during band's latest visit in Poland in April 2008 their shows were sold out!). Then the tour will hit Hungary, Romania (2 shows) and Bulgaria (2 gigs). The tour schedule includes also dates in Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. The main support for SAMAEL will come from a sensational act from Norway, namely KEEP OF KALESSIN (www.myspace.com/keepofkalessin). At the moment this band is one of the leading forces of Norwegian sympho black metal scene. We have some additional info concerning the upcoming "Winterfest 2009". Two bands have been added to the package: THE AMENTA (www.myspace.com/theamenta) and ORDER OF ENNEAD (www.myspace.com/orderofennead). ZONARIA's appearance on "Winterfest 2009" has been cancelled due to their tour with SATYRICON. That's why we decided to replace them with American ORDER OF ENNEAD. The band features Steve Asheim (DEICIDE) on drums, Scott Patrick (RESURRECTION) on bass, Kevin Quirion (COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) on vocals, guitars and John Li on lead guitars. They've just released a debut album "Order Of Ennead" through Earache Records. The opening act of the tour- THE AMENTA is one of the most anticipated sympho-black metal bands from Australia. Their latest full length album "Non" has been released this year via Listenable Records. Both THE AMENTA and ORDER OF ENNEAD will play in Europe for the first time! "Hammer Battalion North Tour 2009"- UNLEASHED's tour through Baltic States and Scandinavia will feature special guests BELPHEGOR and DEVIAN. UNLEASHED are continuously promoting their most recent album "Hammer Battalion", the first part of promotional campaign starts on November (European tour alongside KRISIUN and ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET, more details avaliable here ). The second part starts at the end of February and will last for two weeks. More details will follow soon.

We have also some other news for you. SAMAEL have confirmed support acts on their upcoming Balkan tour. The tour will feature Norvegian sensation KEEP OF KALESSIN and Slovenian act NOCTIFERIA. The tour starts on January 24 and will last for two weeks, featuring gigs in such countries as Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia and some others. Right before the Scandinavian tour VADER took part in a photo session at Warsaw's Progresja Club. All the pictures were taken by Agnieszka Krysiuk (who has been co-operating with the band for some time). The first part of the session was intended to show the band in a rehearshal room mainly, but also to present you faces of Paul, Vogg and Reyash (see the pictures here ). The second part was focused on the whole line up pictures (soon to be presented on www.vader.pl ). "It wasn't a professional photo session. We just asked Agnieszka if she could take some nice pictures in our rehearsal room and she agreed. The pictures she did remind me of old, good time. Their feeling is very close to our old pictures. Frankly speaking, I haven't felt so relaxed when taking pictures for a long time. This new line up (that I believe is very, very strong) might have been partially responsible for it. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Agnieszka (for taking some time and energy for shooting) and Progresja crew (for their great hospitality). How about the Northern tour? VADER's tour through Scandinavia is going very well. Since our previous report they have played 7 more shows. Three battles took place in Finland (Turku, Helsinki, Tampere), two in Sweden (Umea, Vasteras) and one gig in Norway (Oslo). During the show in Vasteras Ola from GRAVE appeared on stage to scream in "Carnal". Meeting many friends, crazy afterparties in almost every place. Our tour-manager Darek checks in from the road, right after Umea show: "How many times have I seen VADER on live? 200? 300? And today, today I felt like a teenager again, watching long awaited show of my favorite band. I had shivers during their gig, really! I felt like screaming, moshing and headbanging, dying at the altar of death metal Gods. Unfortunately, I couldn't leave my merchandiser's position. I'm pretty sure this war-machine is going stronger and stronger, no slaves- death is your only salvation. VADER is back! This band has never been so strong! NEVER!!!" . VADER's North European tour is going better and better. We all have been really curious about band's first gigs in the new line up. Fortunately, everything has been going great so far! Peter (vocal, guitar) checks in from the road: "Veni, vidi, vici! VADER is alive and killzzz! After yesterday show in Turku I'm pretty sure our war machinery works just as perfect as in the past. I would say that every single show we play in this new line up confirms in me a conviction that VADER didn't lose the power. Both Vogg and Paul are doing simply a great job, it seems like they have been playing with VADER for years! The old songs sound even better and stronger, performed with deadly precision every night. SAMAEL would like to announce their first ever tour in the Balkans! It's going to be their long awaited visit in that part of Europe. Shortly after Winterfest 2009" (featuring also DEICIDE, VADER, ZONARIA, DEVIAN) the band will kick off their two weeks tour in the Balkans and some other places. The tour schedule will feature shows in such countries as Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. There's also a possibility of extending the tour for a third week (Spain, Portugal). Support acts for Solar Soul Balkans Tour 2009 will be announced soon (it's still in negotiation phase). After a litte break we are back with some fresh news from NILE's "Ithyphallic Tour 2008". The tour is drawing to an end. This is actually the last week of our trip. Our previous report ended in the Balkans, so the next part of the tour took place in southern Europe and was a great success! After great shows in Zagreb (620) and Bologna (520), we went in direction of the Iberian Peninsula. In Spain and Portugal we played five excellent shows, festivals in Porto and Sevilla are definitely worth underlining here! Overpacked venues, great shows. OK, a long journey to the British Isles before us. The show in London was sold out (540) and it was actually one of very few such crowded shows in that venue from months. Now it's time for Peterborough, Leeds, Wolverhampton and Dublin. What a nice surprise in Wolverhampton, over 450 of people came to see the show! In general, the UK part of the tour really surprised us positively. This time there were no major problems with food (you know, some promoters seem unable to understand that touring bands need food, not alcohol only), organization and fans. Minor technical problems, something usual when you are on the road. Show in Dublin was the last one for BELPHEGOR on this tour. They got just a great feedback on this tour (as they definitely deserved for, great band, very nice and funny guys). Day off and we are back, good start in Benelux- Haarlem and Vosselaar shows are fantastic. SEVER TORTURE have joined the team! The tour is going on, we are looking forward to play further shows (a small trip to Scandinavia) and come back home. We are pretty tired (life on tour is not a fairytale really) but we don't give up!

Rat race continues. Compared to previous years it seems like this year's autumn- winter touring season competition is even stronger. Massive Music have already announced "Hammer Battalion Tour 2008" featuring UNLEASHED, KRISIUN, ONE MAN ARMY & THE UNDEAD QUARTET plus support acts. Now we have a small update for you. Due to some objective reasons we were forced to cancel UK shows and look for some new places. We have confirmed two shows in Spain: 22.11 Barcelona / Mephisto and 23.11 Madrid / Caracol. With some problems, but finally we managed to conquer the Balkans! All the shows we've played so far turned out just impressive: Bratislava (440), Prague (220), Budapest (320), Belgrade (500), Bucarest (445), Sofia (800)! We are really sorry for cancelled show in Ljubljana. It was caused by some serious problems with our trailer that started on Hungarian border. We managed to play a show in Budapest, but due to serious trailer failure we were unable to be on time in Ljublijana. Bucharest show was also pretty close to cancellation. 2 accidents, we stuck in a huge traffic jam and finally, we couldn't drive our nightliner under one of overpasses. Fortunately, the other shows happened as planned. Pretty unfortunate beginning- we would say. Today we have a day off, in Sofia we are hoping to get Serb visas to begin the second week of the tour without any problems. Zagreb, Bologna and Southern Europe are waiting for us...

We would like to thank to all the participants of our anniversary gig: bands, fans and staff. Thanx to you all we were able to celebrate the 25 anniversary of VADER in so special way. Big thanx to fans for such a numerous presence, bands for fantastic shows they all played in Warsaw, guests for their appearance on this show and our crew for nearly 24 hours of hard work! It was a very important show for us, the more so because it took place in such a difficult circumstances. We were forced to give up an idea of recording DVD due to some technical issues. For technical reasons we were also unable to build a special stage scenery prepared exclusively for this show. Sorry for very long queues for food and drink and the high price of our energy drink - these things were beyond our control. The show ended up turning out well and despite these shortcomings we believe it was a success. Once again- thank you all! All the blood, sweat and tears poured into VADER have been worth it!

At this point we would like to refer to the changes that have occurred in VADER. As you all probably already know, Mauser and Daray are no longer in the band and this anniversary gig was their last show with VADER. We would say that mentally, they both were out of the band from a long time. They played with us more like a session guys, without any real commitment and dedication. We were thinking about making some changes since a year or something, now we are glad to have this opportunity to build a new band. At the moment we are looking for some new musicians. Probably next week we are going to present you our new line up. In October the band will appear on tour in Scandinavia with GRAVE and ZONARIA. In January 2009 VADER will hit the road again, sharing the stage with DEICIDE and SAMAEL. Just before this tour, in December we are going to start a pre-production process of our new full length album "Necropolis". The recording session is scheduled for March. The album will be mixed by one of the best producers in a music industry! In May 2009 the band will release a new EP. The new album will be out in September. In meantime we are going to appear on many summer festivals. Don't be affraid, VADER don't lose the power and quality. On the contrary we feel it will be much stronger than ever before. Stay VADER'ized, be prepared for a new line up and the upcoming killing album "Necropolis"!

We have some news concerning the upcoming tours of NILE, VADER and UNLEASHED. Let's start from NILE tour...due to some logistical problems we have been forced to cancel a show in Strasbourg/ France (18.09). We will play an additional show in Spain- 15.09, Almeria, Sala Genesis. Marseille show will take place at Espace Julien (11.09). There's also a venue change in Orebre/ Sweden. The gig has been moved to Kulturhuset (01.10). Essen show (27.09) will feature special guest- BEHEMOTH! GRAVE won't appear on the last show in Berlin (05.10). They will be replaced by HOLLENTHON.

VADER's Scandinavian tour schedule has been confirmed some time ago, but now we have some updates to announce. The gig in Talin (19.10) will take place at a venue which is still nameless. To be confirmed as soon as possible. A gig in Helsinki (21.10) will take place at Virgin OIl, Oulu show (23.10) is moved to Kuusisaari. Three confirmed battles in Sweden: 27.10 Goteborg - Musikens Hus, 28.10 Stockholm - Klubben and 29.10 Malmoe - KB instead of previously announced show in Norrkoping!

UNLEASHED. There're some changes in the UK part of the tour. The dates are as follow: 21.11 Cheltenham - The Night Owl, 22.11 Birmingham - Barfly, 23.11 London Camden Underworld. The tour will be supported by German COMMANDER and Finish SHADE EMPIRE. More news will follow soon. (27.08.2008)

Previously announced for October 2008, European tournee of DEICIDE has been moved to January 2009. No worries, the band was ready to annihilate Europe in the end of 2008, but we need a little more time to prepare a very special tour, that's why we decided to move it to early 2009. The tour will last 3 weeks and will be definitely a great opportunity to see DEICIDE promoting their recently released album "Till Death Do Us Part" (Earache Records). After a long absence, caused by some personal problems, band's leader Glen Benton is hungry for your blood and ready to kick some asses. With the strongest line up this band ever had, together with VADER (appearing on the tour as a special guest) it's going to be a total war! Massive Music proudly would like to announce European tournee of death metal legend DEICIDE! The band starts to promote their recently released "Till Death Do Us Part" album (out on Earache). After a long absence caused by some personal problems DEICIDE's mainman Glen Benton is ready and hungry to tour with the band again! In a recent statement published on Earache's website Glen said: "It is with great pleasure to announce that I will be performing with DEICIDE once again after a 14-month absence and that my legal issues that have prevented myself from performing have been resolved... Without going into great detail about my personal life, because I am a person who prefers his privacy, I wish to extend my apologies to the promoters and to my business associates who may have been inconvenienced. I look forward to rejoining Steve, Jack and Ralph on stage, and I would like to announce that we are presently booking exclusive dates or the United States and Europe for 2008 in support of 'Till Death Do Us Part'. I will be performing exclusive dates in major markets and festival dates only as to accommodate my parental responsibilities...". VADER's mainman Peter (vocals, guitars) commented in a brief report next part of the "The Anniversary Tour": The next two weeks of the tour we have spent In South of Europe: Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. For a first time we played so many shows on Iberian Peninsula in only one week. On 9 concerts there were watching us almost 2.000 Fans . We were lucky with the weather as well, so the Sun didn't burnt our skins like it happens in this part of continent. We started in the Land of Basque in city of Durango. Thou' it was probably the smallest concert on tour , the Maniaks welcomed us great - as always in this area. In Valencia we had nice surprise after dinner. A specially made Anniversary cake, so we could eat us ourselves... from candy picture. Daray swallowed Mauser. There was awesome in Portugal as well, where Vader's sound guy Fabricio (born in Brazil) felt like home for a little while. Thereafter we drove to Italy through France and little but totally packed La Corigan club. In Italy we played 3 shows for about 800 Fans. We met also our Friends from Hate Eternal and Cephalic Carnage in Pinarella. Debbie -like always -was carrying about us, so there were no problems. The next two days off we spent in beautiful San Marino. We even organized a trip to the castle, thou' it was raining all the time. And we made a lot of nice pictures... Vicious Dutch death metallers SEVERE TORTURE (www.severetorture.com) will appear on the last 11 shows of "Ithyphallic Tour 2008" instead of BELPHEGOR. The reason behind this change is the upcoming and very prestigious US tour of the Austrian band, starting off in the beginning of October. We would like to remind you the "Ithyphallic Tour 2008" tour schedule consisted of 32 gigs features American death metal star NILE, Swedish veterans GRAVE and aforementioned BELPHEGOR/ SEVERE TORTURE. Autumn/ winter tour "Hammer Battalion Europe 2008" featuring UNLEASHED, KRISIUN, ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET kicks off on November 14 and will last till December 7. Today we can confirm two new dates: 30.11 Colmar @ Grillen (France) and 4.12 Vienna @ Szene (Austria). The tour schedule has been almost entirely completed, only one show left unconfirmed (24.11, France) but it will be announced soon. The first opening act (14.11 - 24.11) will be a German band called COMMANDER (www.commander-crew.de). The tour will be presented by German magazine Rock Hard. The second leg of the trip called "Hammer Battalion Europe 2009" featuring UNLEASHED and other bands (to be announced soon) starts off at the beginning of January and will cover European territories passed over during the first part of the invasion.
